Verde.tec: The leading exhibition for environmental technologies in Greece was a great success!

Exhibitors and visitors agree that Verde.tec is the ultimate meeting point for the environmental industry and renew their annual appointment for 2024!

The 5th edition of Verde.tec, the leading exhibition event in Greece that showcases environmental technologies and innovations, once again confirmed its great dynamic and influence during its running on March 17 – 192023 in Athens. The exhibition was a great success drawing in the highest number of exhibitors and visitors. The program of conference events was impressive in its sophisticated and engaging content, truly setting a new standard for future exhibitions.

Overall, the exhibition not only met but also exceeded expectations, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended. More than 13,000 visitors had the opportunity to interact with experts in the field and gain valuable insights into the latest trends, advancements and best practices. The Minister of Finance, Mr. Christos Staikouras, and the General Secretary of Fiscal Policy, Mr. Thanos Petralias, visited the exhibition on Sunday, March 19.

The opening of 5th Verde.tec

The exhibition’s opening took place on the evening of the first day, Friday, March 17, in the presence of politicians and organizations representatives that are active in the field of the environment and support the exhibition. At the opening ceremony, honorary awards were given to personalities from the field of politics and science, for their action and efforts that aim at resolving environmental issues and promoting environmental awareness in Greek society.

Verde.tec Forum / Greek Green Awards

Dozens of delegates had the opportunity to highlight every aspect of cutting-edge environmental issues from photovoltaics, waste management and small hydro to recycling, biogas and green public procurement. Companies, institutes from the private and public sector, scientists, universities and State and local government provided answers and solutions through workshops and seminars during the three-day Verde.tec Forum.

The Greek Green Awards event took place on Friday, March 17. Organizations, local government bodies and companies were awarded for practices, products or services they have developed by putting scientific knowledge and technological innovation at the service of the environment, with their selection having been made by a specialized scientific committee.
