Greece’s leading environmental exhibition has once again affirmed its strength and influence in the sector, marking its 7th successful edition!
The 7th International Exhibition Verde.tec / Environmental Technologies took place from February 21-23, 2025, at the MEC Exhibition Center in Paiania, Greece, featuring an upgraded and expanded event. For three days, thousands of visitors—both professionals and individuals from across the country—were impressed by innovative applications and technologies, best practices, and sustainable solutions for a greener future.
Exhibitors, conference attendees, and visitors alike acknowledged the strong and continuous evolution of Verde.tec, which, along with the three-day Verde.tec Forum, has established itself as a comprehensive platform for showcasing environmental technologies and exchanging knowledge across the entire industry spectrum. A key indicator of this growth is the fact that many exhibitors and conference participants have already confirmed their participation for 2026, while a significant number of new companies have decided to join the event for the first time, further enhancing the exhibition’s quality and prestige.
The opening ceremony
The exhibition’s official opening took place on Friday, February 21, 2025, in the presence of political representatives, local government officials, business leaders, and environmental organizations that support the event.
The opening speech was delivered in a packed hall by Mr. Grigoris Konstantellos, First Vice President of the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) and Mayor of Vari-Voula-Vouliagmeni.
Mr. Christos Staikouras, Minister of Infrastructure & Transport, and Mr. Manolis Grafakos, Secretary General for Waste Management Coordination at the Ministry of Environment and Energy inaugurated the exhibition.

Honorary awards
During the opening ceremony, distinguished personalities were honored for their contributions to environmental protection and sustainability in Greece.
The honorees included:
- Mr. Nikolaos Damatis, Secretary General of HELLABIOM
- Dr. Dionysis Papachristou, Electrical & Mechanical Engineer, Special Scientist, and Director of the Communication Office of RAAEY
- Mrs. Christiana Peirasmaki, Founding Member of ECOCITY
On behalf of the organizing company Technoekdotiki / T-Press, Ms. Zeta Founta Mourta, Public Relations Manager, addressed the audience, while Mr. Michalis Stathakopoulos, Editor-in-Chief of ECOTEC magazine, coordinated the event.
Greek Green Awards
In a grand celebration of environmental excellence, 74 organizations, local government bodies, and businesses were awarded for their pioneering practices, products, and services that integrate scientific knowledge and technological innovation for environmental sustainability. The winners were selected by a specialized scientific committee (a detailed press release will follow).
Verde.tec Forum
Across four conference halls, leading market players—including businesses, policymakers, local authorities, institutions, and academic representatives—showcased cutting-edge environmental technologies and innovations during the three-day Verde.tec Forum. Discussions focused on research, industry challenges, and the path toward a more sustainable future.
