The MUNICIPALITY OF FYLI is located in the region of Attica and consists of the Municipal Units of Liosia, Zefyri and Fyli. It covers a total area of 109 km2 and the resident population is approximately 49,000 (2021 census). It is a peri-urban municipality that includes parts of the massif of Parnitha (which has been proclaimed National Park since 1961).

At the same time the Municipality expands its growth prospects by carrying out many projects of technical and environmental nature thus solving accumulated problems of many years and improving the citizens’ standard of living. Emphasis has been given to the Municipality’s energy self-sufficiency and many steps have been made in this direction, for example, the creation of a Park of Renewables, the installation of photovoltaic systems and natural gas infrastructures in public buildings and schools, the installation of heat pumps and the replacement of the lighting units by less energy-intensive ones.
