STOP-WASTE APP is the first Greek application that offers a comprehensive solution in the effort to reduce food waste and was jointly developed by Actionart (VOUDOURI G. DΕSPOINA & SIA EE.) and Msolutions (MILONAS SOTIRIOS & SIA EE). It is an innovative tool for measuring, recording and analysing all waste streams generated by the operation of hotels and restaurants, aiming at reducing them and thus limiting the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
During the last phase of the application development, important support was provided by the “STOP-WASTE Project – Measuring food waste in the Greek hotel sector”, which focused on the categorization and analysis of food waste in tourist accommodations and was co-funded by the European Union. The STOP-WASTE APP is now commercially available, at a very affordable cost, and has gained the trust of major hotel groups, such as Aquila and Grecotel, having already more than 60 installations in Greece and abroad.
