The MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF VARI, VOULA, VOULIAGMENI lies in the South East of the Attica Region, 17 km from the center of Athens, 22 km from the Athens International Airport and 22 km from the Port o Piraeus.

The municipality was created from the unification of the former municipalities of Vari, Voula and Vouliagmeni in 2010. The 50 km of shoreline which surround the city combined with the mountain region and the natural forests compose a unique environment which offers the city’s approximately 70,000 inhabitants a high standard of living.

The current Municipal Authority has the protection of the environment as an absolute priority and by leveraging new technologies, the scientific community and the city’s human resources, is a pioneer in many areas such as the improving of the natural habitat, including waste management, sustainable development and energy saving.
