The MUNICIPALITY OF IRAKLIO ATTIKIS is an urban city located in the Northern Sector of Athens in the Attica Region. It covers an area of approximately 4.6 square kilometers and is inhabited by 50,494 residents (according to the 2021 census).

As a traditionally “green” Municipality, it hosts thousands of trees and plants in its parks, squares, and throughout its network of streets and pedestrian walkways. The largest park it offers is the Fix Estate in the northern part of the city, an area of approximately 28 acres.

At the same time, the City Administration develops practices and technologies for the new era in recycling with a focus on circular economy, electromobility, and the green sustainability of buildings and infrastructure, while also providing relevant education to the younger generation.
