The ASSOCIATION FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF WEST ATHENS (ASDA) was founded in 1989 following a joint decision by the municipalities of the wider region, reflecting the need for collective action with the aim of improving the quality of life, strengthening social cohesion and dealing with supra-local and inter-municipal problems.

In this new era, under the presidency of the Mayor of Agioi Anargyroi – Kamatero, Stavros Tsirbas, ASDA aspires to be the forerunner that will show the way of development with an emphasis on the protection of our natural wealth, education, competitiveness, the circular economy and extroversion, while creating an overall framework of support and creativity, enhancing the advantages and bridging differences, through the universal unification and the unified utilization of the potential of the nine municipalities of Western Athens:
