The NETWORK OF SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATIONS – FO.DI.S.A. NETWORK (Diktio Foreon Diaxirisis Stereon Apobliton – Di.Fo.Di.S.A.) was established in 2007, in the town of Thebes and takes action in whole geographical region of Greece. Its members are national public waste associations that run waste management establishments. Di.Fo.Di.S.A. promotes the interests of its members at government level, through common positions on waste management issues and legislation. Di.Fo.Di.S.A. also keeps its members informed on the latest developments in the area of waste management and encourages sharing of information among its members, including the exchange of technical know-how and good practice in the local management of waste. Moreover, problems and issues that concern its members, are recorded, processed and forwarded for resolution.
The overall goal of Di.Fo.Di.S.A. is the improvement of the cooperation between its members and its support in their activities in order to offer better quality social services in the field of waste management as well as environmental protection.
Di.Fo.Di.S.A. represents 16 Associations from all over the country in which participate more than 250 Municipalities and offer waste management services to more than 6.500.000 people.
