The HELLENIC RECYCLING ORGANIZATION (HRA, EOAN) is a legal entity with administrative and financial autonomy under the supervision of the Ministry of Environment and Energy. Purpose of HRA (EOAN) is the implementation of the policy for the prevention and alternative management of various products and their waste for which prevention measures and / or alternative management programs are applied. HRA/EOAN was established by the article 24 of law 2939/2001, initially as the Hellenic Organization for Alternative Management of Packaging and Other Products (EOEDSAP), and was subsequently renamed by article 46 of law 4042/2012 in “HELLENIC RECYCLING ORGANIZATION – E.O.AN.“.
