Since its establishment in 1992, PEEGEP has been the central representative body of scientists and enterprises specializing in urban green spaces in Greece. With a vision for a sustainable future, the Association combines the safeguarding of its members’ professional rights with a meaningful contribution to society, aiming at the qualitative and quantitative enhancement of green spaces in both the public and private realms.

Through continuous training, member certification and the introduction of modern technologies, PEEGEP promotes scientific knowledge as well as the protection and upgrading of the urban environment. Its multifaceted activities include the organization of conferences and seminars, the preparation of studies and proposals, and close cooperation with academic institutions and European bodies. At the same time, it acts as a connecting hub for professionals across the country, fostering the exchange of knowhow and the collective addressing of professional challenges.

Through targeted interventions with public authorities and a strong publishing output, the Association remains a key guarantor for the safeguarding of an upgraded and resilient urban landscape.
