The \u00abHellenic Research and Educational Institute \u201cPANOS MYLONAS\u201d <\/i>for the Road Safety, Prevention and Reduction of Traffic Accidents\u00bb – (RSI <\/i>\u201cPANOS MYLONAS\u201d) – was established on May 12, 2005. The Institute is a <\/i>not for profit Organization with the aim of preventing and reducing traffic <\/i>incidents by undertaking, supporting and promoting activities on issues <\/i>dealing with the study, research and dissemination, information, education <\/i>and training related to road safety.<\/i><\/p>\n

RSI \u201cPANOS MYLONAS\u201d has already achieved a considerable contribution <\/i>to road safety and social matters in Greece as a Non-Governmental <\/i>Organization under a continuous collaboration with Public Authorities, <\/i>Academic Institutions and the private sector. The vision of the Hellenic <\/i>Road Safety Institute PANOS MYLONAS is \u201ca world without road crashes\u201d. <\/i>RSI “PANOS MYLONAS” develops Programs of Traffic Education for <\/i>Primary to Higher Education students, information campaigns and open <\/i>awareness events for Road Safety issues, in collaboration with Local <\/i>Government Organizations.<\/i><\/p>\n

At the same time, the Institute has designed and implements <\/i>comprehensive Programs of Traffic Education for the executives of private <\/i>organizations in the context of Occupational Health and Safety.<\/i><\/p>\n

RSI \u201cPANOS MYLONAS\u201d is represented in the National Council of Road <\/i>Safety in Greece and is an active member of the European Transport <\/i>Safety Council (ETSC). RSI is in Consultative Status with the United <\/i>Nations (ECOSOC), an affiliated member of F.d.ration Internationale de <\/i>l’Automobile (FIA) and has been also awarded by the European Parliament <\/i>with the European Citizen\u2019s Prize, by the Academy of Athens with the Award <\/i>of Ethical and Political Sciences and by the F.d.ration Internationale de <\/i>l’Automobile (FIA) with the 3-star Environmental Accreditation.<\/i><\/p>\n
